Edith’s Eatery & Grocery.

Edith’s Eatery and Grocery is self-proclaimed “next generation comfort food” and I definitely understand why. Founded in 2020 during the pandemic, Edith’s quickly became a popular Williamsburg spot to get Jewish comfort food from various continents and cultures.

With a restaurant as well as a Sandwich Counter just a few blocks away, the options are endless. If you want a sit-down experience, you can go to the restaurant and get dishes such as Malawach, Pancakes, Schnitzel, Israeli Salad, etc. and If you’re looking for a quicker bite to grab, their Sandwich Counter offers various Bagels and Signature Sandwiches.

Much like 12 Chairs (check out that post if you haven’t yet ;) ) this place reminds me of home. Growing up in Israel, Malawach was one of my all-time favorite meals and Edith’s absolutely does it right. I have been to Edith’s twice so far and have gotten this meal both times - just add an egg on the side, or of course anything else you might be craving with your Malawach - and you’re golden.

I had to include a picture of the coffee I had below because if you know me, you know that I am a VERY big fan of coffee…. to say the least. And of course it was great. The last time I was at Edith’s, my friend got the Israeli Salad and the Challah toast (also pictured above) with the Housemade Jam and Butter and the Harissa Honey and Butter, and she had nothing but great reviews.

You really can’t go wrong when choosing to go to Edith’s Eatery and Grocery and there’s always something for everyone!

Much love,

Maya
